Finally it’s cool to wear pajamas for work and play! This spring designers have given the masses the okay to wear pajama-inspired apparel outside of the house. Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton were just a couple of the fashion houses that feat ured silky, loose-fitting styles on the runway. Silk shorts, voluminous pants, and triple-threat-blouses (a button-up, wrap top, and blazer all-in-one) offer fashion lovers the best of both worlds: comfort and style. Trend Tip: For an ultra chic look, wear one pajama-inspired piece with a top or bottom of a similar color. Complete the look with a pair of fabulous high heels. |

Exqusite cuisines in Little India |

I come from Mumbai which takes pride in serving the best Indian food in the country, and possibly the world. My apartment was literally a few steps away from delicious street food, fast food joints and restaurants serving cuisines from different parts of the country. I realized in the past two years of living in the United States that the US has such a narrow perspective of my culture’s food. The tandoori chicken, naan, biryani, etc, that is typically served in Indian restaurants is only a small percentage of what actually exists. Luckily for me and you, we do not have to journey across the ocean for authentic Indian cuisine. Little India on Pioneer Blvd in Artesia is SoCal’s version of the food that warms my heart and possibly yours. Down below are my favorites. Thirupathi Bhimas: 18792 Pioneer Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701 (In Little India Village ) www.tirupathi-bhimas.com This place serves one of my favorite South Indian cuisines. The most famous south Indian food is called “dosa” – a crepe made out of rice and lentils batter. It is usually topped with potato stuffing, or spicy chutneys (Indian sauces), but it can also be served plain. I ate this three times a week in India. Many restaurants have left me feeling disappointed, but I guarantee that this place has the best dosas I have had away from India. The smell alone upon entering the restaurant makes me feel at home. My favorite dosa here is the Andhra Kara Dosa which is spicy and filling but if I am not too hungry, the plain dosa is great too. Make sure you ask them to make it crispy. |

Pizza & Chicken Love Letter8891 Garden Grove BlvdGarden Grove, CA 92844(714) 530-8800 Hours: M-Th 11am - 12am, Fr-Sat 11am - 1am, Sun 2pm - 12am Have you ever tried KFC? No. Not Kentucky Fried Chicken. What I’m talking about is KOREAN Fried Chicken. Many people are familiar with Korean BBQ, Kim Chi, and Tofu restaurants. But have you ever considered combining something as American as fried chicken and pizza and adding a Korean twist to it? Pizza & Chicken Love Letter features pizzas such as Beef Bulgogi (the Korean BBQ meat), sweet potato, and supreme (kind of like Pizza Hut but with corn and beef underneath the usual pepperoni).
As far as the chicken you have a choice of popcorn chicken or chicken wings. The flavors range from: spicy, sweet & mild, or plain. The sauces, even the spicy, are sweet and tasty. |

Colors! and Dresses! and Fashion Week! Oh my! |

New York Fashion Week may be over but it's still living in my heart and My Pictures folder. Neutrals were expected to be a big part of the Fall '09 collections, but the rich colors, construction, and feminine details caught me off guard! Its nice to see the runways re-enforce a commonly unknown style tip: Just because Autumn comes around does not mean color must fade from your closet! Designers like Marc Jacobs, Thakoon, and Jason Wu put this rule in action with splashes of bold hues and interesting color combinations. As per usual, Oscar de la Renta outdid the rest at using color, creating fabulous silhouettes, and impeccable fit! You'd be crazy not to be believe me, but if you don't have a look for yourself. Oscar de la Renta Thakoon Jason Wu
If you're not a fan of color, don't worry. Neutrals remained key to many Fall '09 collections, but with beautiful colors like this how could you not fall in love?
